According to Paper, fans had been speculating that Miss Minaj was pregnant long before her announcement posts. Specifically, fans theorised that the rapper “whispered” about the pregnancy on her remix of Doja Cat’s “Say So.” Then, when asked if she really was pregnant, Nicki Minaj said, “there are def a few hidden messages in the remix.” And, interestingly, the 37-year-old rapper hadn’t posted anything to her Instagram since early August. Hmmm.

Speaking in her 2015 documentary, Nicki Minaj: My Time Again, Minaj said, “I understand that some women have children earlier and feel like that’s their destiny, but I always felt like my destiny was to be accomplished in my career first and then have children.”

“And, I feel like I would be a great mum. I always wanted to be a mother, so I know that that will happen one day.”

And that day is today! Well, the 30th of September to be *exact* but you get my point. As expected, Barbz everywhere are over the moon at the news. Congrats Nicki Minaj!
