Fact: RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12 has the best cast in a season of the main show in what feels like forever. All 12 contestants—yes, even the reappearing Broc-ally—brought Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent to the main stage and workroom and honestly, this year would’ve been a lot shittier without it. Additional fact: the RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12 girls didn’t get to experience a true Lip-Sync For The Crown, were partially shadowed by a controversy nor got the chance to get their coin while the show was airing, thanks to Miss Rona.
So, in great news, I’m happy to report that the dolls are reuniting in a 👻Spooky Season👻 livestream spectacular extravaganza. As Aiden Zhane would say: “Boo!”
According to Entertainment Weekly, the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12 will reunite in a Halloween variety special called Bring Back My Ghouls. That’s right, Dahlia Sin, Rock M. Sakura, Nicky Doll, Aiden Zhane, Brita, Jan, Widow Von’Du, Heidi N Closet, Jackie Cox, Gigi Goode, Crystal Methyd and our crowned 2020 winner Jaida Essence Hall will all come together once again.
Not much has been shared about the event except expect “planned lip-sync performances, Kiki sessions and a special message from RuPaul,” that is eerily coming a day or two before the 2020 U.S. Presidential election. I predict it’s a message to get out and vote, or something about a new season—which, FYI, may include drag kings, trans and non-binary performers.
Oh, and given this fantastic cast, expect some incredible spooky looks. Here’s a few of our faves from the girls.
Fans will be able to tip the queens via Venom, PayPal and Cash App during the event, with the total being divided up evenly and distributed directly to the cast.
The Bring Back My Ghouls special will premiere on Saturday, the 31st of October at 5PM AEST on World of Wonder’s YouTube channel and, if you are subscribed to it, Wow Presents Plus.
