The ‘Teen Wolf’ Cast Are Postponing Their Reunion To Stand With The #BlackLivesMatter Movement

Update, as of 5th June 2020:

I knew there was a reason we liked this show more than Riverdale. Today on Instagram the Teen Wolf fandom got an update that the Teen Wolf reunion would be postponed. The post reads, “We are postponing the #TeenWolfReunion to stand with the #BlackLivesMatter movement and encourage our fans to take this time to support the Black Community.” They then shared a list of Black Lives Matter resources and places to donate.

Beacon Hills can wait, there’s work to do.

Original article published 22nd May 2020:

Pack your bags, kids, we’re going back to Beacon Hills High School. The cast of Teen Wolf, the show characterised by supernaturally hot teenagers and Oscar-worthy acting from Dylan O’Brien, are reuniting for a virtual Teen Wolf reunion on MTV. Literally howling at the supermoon rn.

The Teen Wolf reunion is part of a new digital format called “MTV Reunions,” which brings back the cast from some of our fav shows of days gone by to benefit charity. Like other celebrity charity efforts that we’ve seen lately–the auction of Zendaya’s Euphoria hoodie, Ansel Elgort’s nudes and Troye Sivan’s concert–the Teen Wolf reunion is in support people doing it tough during the coronavirus pandemic. This particular one focuses on and benefits the First Responders First, which aids the frontline healthcare workers.

As our boy Tyler Posey himself explains, the episode will air on the anniversary of the very first Teen Wolf episode’s air date. He also very cutely howls. Truly a humble guy who never forgets his roots.

Nearly the whole gang is getting back together again. Our fave Teen Wolf leads Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Holland Roden and Arden Cho are all coming back… perhaps Colton Haynes has a really busy schedule making TikToks? Other cast members making a comeback for the reunion include Orny Adams, Linden Ashby, Ian Bohen, Charlie Carver, Max Carver, Cody Christian, Shelley Hennig, Melissa Ponzio, Khylin Rhambo, and Dylan Sprayberry.

The Teen Wolf reunion will see the cast catch up about their time on the show and have a chat about their lives now.

How to watch the Teen Wolf reunion

“MTV Reunions: Teen Wolf” will be free to watch on the official MTV YouTube channel on June 5, and you can also watch it across the MTV sites and Teen Wolf social media accounts.

Plus, Dylan O’Brien joins my retroactive campaign to give The Social Network the Best Picture Oscar it always deserved:

This reunion isn’t the only primo Teen Wolf-adjacent content that we’ve been blessed with recently. If you haven’t seen it already, please, for me, watch true thespian Dylan O’Brien and comedian Sara Ramos take on the iconic scene from The Social Network.

Even the original Eduardo, Andrew Garfield himself, said he “MURDERED it.” (Emphasis Garfield.)

It’s cut-for-cut perfection. Between this and Carly Rae Jepsen’s Dedicated Side B I am literally set for artificially generated serotonin for the rest of the month.
