Pls, Don’t Pee Ur Pants For A TikTok Challenge

TikTok has had some pretty cursed challenges in its lifetime. First, we had the Skullbreaker challenge, a trend that left people hospitalised and charged with criminal offences. Then, people revealed their horniest desires with the Sexy Back trend. And now, people are… peeing their pants for a TikTok challenge

I can’t believe I have to say this but… don’t do that. Please, don’t pee your pants for a TikTok. Ever. I just cannot believe it has come to this.

Full content warning here folks for urination. For real, I am warning you. It’s nasty.

What Is The Pee Your Pants Challenge?

The Pee Your Pants challenge is quite explanatory. In it, people stand in front of their mirror and shout, “pee your pants challenge,” before recording themselves urinating. It’s absolutely disgusting and I cannot believe it is a thing.

Srsly, y’all. Why? WHY?!?

According to Know Your Meme, the trend originated from TikTok user Liam Weyer (@liamw2). Allegedly, he originally shared the cursed video on 21st April before it was taken down by TikTok (thank you). He then re-uploaded it and it grew into the “pee your pants” challenge.

Weyer made the challenge as a commentary on TikTok challenges and how people are willing to do anything if there’s a hashtag and challenge involved.

“I am definitely surprised that the challenge actually became a trend,” Weyer told Insider. “I created the challenge as a parody of the other challenges that have gone viral on the internet in an attempt to show how pointless they are.”

“I am surprised to see that people on the internet will pee themselves if you call it a challenge and add a hashtag.”

As of writing, the hashtag has over 2.1m videos. While these do consist of people also reacting and mocking people who contribute to the challenge, there’s still a sea (or rather, puddle) of people who are participating in it. It’s hard to say how many of those partaking in it are aware that it’s a critique on TikTok challenge culture or if they’re just being gross hormonal teens.

Either way, it doesn’t surprise me that they’re all men, lmao. But, please, for the love of God, don’t do it. Even if we’re losing our minds from self-isolation, have some decency. I mean, there’s a toilet right there. There are far better TikTok trends you can participate in, like, say, TikTok’s famous Dalgona coffee, array of beauty tutorials or the viral challenge parodying our own Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

As a translation of one French TikTok user’s reaction to the original video reads, “Am I the only one who’s shocked and disgusted by this?” No, Stevens French, you are not. Although, I don’t need to know French to empathise with him and others here.
