Who Is Wyatt Oleff, The Geeky Boy Next Door Of The ‘It’ Crew?

Just like the generation before it, teen films and entertainment is dominated by the epic handshake meme intersection between the Stranger Things and It casts—Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Sophia Lillis and Wyatt Oleff.

While each of them started their careers on the two projects, they’ve quickly risen as young up and coming stars. Brown led Netflix’s Enola Holmes, Jack Dylan Grazer proved his acting chops in Luca Guadagnino’s latest project, and Oleff, like Lillis, made us fall in love with him as Stanley Barber in Netflix’s tragically cancelled teen supernatural coming-of-age indie show, I Am Not Okay With This.

But, who exactly is Wyatt Oleff? Keep scrolling to find out.

Who Is Wyatt Oleff?

Wyatt Oleff, full name Wyatt Jess Oleff, is a teen actor best known for starring in It and Netflix’s I Am Not Okay With This. Outside of his acting career, he’s a gamer and internet goof. Last month, he, like all of us, begged Mr. PlayStation for a PlayStation 5, and during the U.S. presidential election, posed as Metal Gear Solid character, Big Boss, to encourage his followers who could vote. Over on his official YouTube channel, he makes crack parodies of unboxing videos. Truly, no one is doing it like him.

How old is Wyatt Oleff?

Wyatt Oleff is a 17-year-old actor, born in Chicago on the 13th of July 2003, to parents Doug and Jennifer Oleff.

What has Wyatt Oleff been in?

Unlike the rest of It’s teen cast, the film wasn’t Wyatt Oleff’s first role in a Hollywood production. In 2014, the 17-year-old actor starred a young Peter Quill—Aka a younger version of Chris Pratt—in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and again in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in 2017. Prior to that, he played other miscellaneous children and younger versions of characters in Shake It Up, Suburgatory and Once Upon A Time

Then, in 2017, he had his first major role in a film and TV show as Stanley Uris, the skeptical and terrified member of The Loser’s Club in Andrés Muschietti’s It film series. Funnily enough, in both of his current major roles, Oleff has played a character named Stanley. In I Am Not Okay With This, he reunites with his It co-star, Sophia Lillis, as her neighbour and boy-next-door sidekick, Stanley Barber.

In It, Oleff and Lillis don’t get many scenes together. But, speaking to Insider, Wyatt Oleff said that they all bonded behind the scenes. “That was one of the best summers in my life,” he said. “So working with anyone from there again is such a pleasure.”

Speaking about their banter on set, Oleff added, in the same interview, “We almost play our roles in real life. I just poke her and like, she’s like, “Why?” [laughing] I feel like it’s a good reflection of real life with the dynamic there.”

Looking to the future, Wyatt Oleff is soon to start filming Trevor Bailey’s The Traveling Men, a gritty crime film about a bible-belt crime family trying to survive a particularly violent summer. Quite the tonal shift from being hunted by a murderous clown demon and the best friend to a girl with psychic head-exploding powers.

Who is Wyatt Oleff dating?

Through a sneaky Instagram search, we discovered that Wyatt Oleff is dating Erin, a digital artist who goes by the Instagram handle cactiluna. In May, Erin celebrated her and Oleff’s one and a half year anniversary, meaning that the pair have been together for close to, if not, two years. Earlier this year, the pair went on an adorable date sporting bucket hats and face masks.
